West Wycombe Pre-School is managed by a committee of parents and friends and has adopted the constitution of the Pre-School Learning Alliance (PLA).  The committee is responsible for appointing the Pre-School Supervisor, employing staff, fund raising and generally administering the business of the group.

We are a registered charity, which means we can raise funds for our Pre-School from the general public and be able to apply for grants that would not be available to private groups.

At West Wycombe Pre-School Playgroup the income from fees and government funding is used to pay the salaries and the sundries which is things like the cleaning and stationery, items that we need to run the school but do not directly benefit the children.

Everything else we need, art and craft, play equipment and furniture need to be funded by grants or fundraising events. The committee work hard to find grants whenever they can but fundraising is necessary, not just in our school, but as your children move through the education system you will find all schools now have to do fundraising.
